France changed in several ways under Napoleon. Napoleon changed the system of government and set up the Napoleonic Code.
For instance, Napoleon changed educationcand government. Schools focused on obedience and military values. Science and math became important subjects at Secondary schools. All laws were made by National Assemblies.
Additionally, Napoleon set up the Napoleon Code. Under this Code, all people were declared equal. The wife only own property with her husband's writing. Father can imprison their children up to a month.
Furthermore, individual rights and the church were also changed. Nobles no longer hold special rights in trials anymore. Napoleon tried to control free speech, although free speech is allowed. The government had greater control over the Church.

There were two National Assemblies which were chosen bye Napoleon. All men an vote but after that there were no more election, The Assemblies make all the laws.
Furthermore, For the code all the people were declared equal. Feudal right were ended, Trail by Jury was guaranteed, religious freedom was guaranteed. People were given power over there children, Wives weren't allow to sell or give always property.
