I think the railroad impacted the United States in two major ways. Railroads allowed cities to grow and they also helped connect the country.
For instance, railroads allowed cities to grow. Railroads supplied cities and towns with food, fuel, building materials, and access to markets. Electric street railroads made a suburban living feasible. Mail, transported by the train, made it faster commmunication and was reliable. New territories such as hotels, resorts, restaurants, and national parks opened.
Additionally, railroads helped connect the countries. Nearly the entire North America transport system was oriented around 200,000 mile extending from the Alantic to Pacific, also connecting the neighboring countries of Canada and Mexico. Railroad was celebrated in song, literature, and art. Every form of entertainment traveled by rail. People also started travel by train because the rail is faster than the horse.
Clearly, the railroad had allowed cities to grow and helped connect the country.

The railroads were more proactive than cars because they could entertain witch was different but if there
were no railroads it would only be car and horses and
it would be a pain because it would take longer and
railroads make life easier.
